Peacefull landscape without fears.

We get together all free people, since we dont want to see any war in the world.

All someones's lives should be full with love and joy...

Try to find it as much as you can.

There's a chance that if the EU (or any other free trading, multipolar "free market" based trading bloc) were to enter into an agreement with the US in regards to TTIP/CETA/TAFTA, they might make US border enforcement considerably more stringent, and thus increase their chances of avoiding a trade war.

Take away US workers' employment. Then it may be better to supply the UK's "safety" from Donald Trump to Scotland instead (Scotland would get better terms from the EU, as it would not be responsible for the full body of US law (Federal laws, in this case), and as long as the EU doesn't impose tariffs, it would have greater influence on the EU's agenda).

@RL It is in America that nobody can sit at a table to negotiate anything and everybody can't just "lay hands on" any company in America. Why would this be the case? That was kind of the whole point of the Napoleonic code: you wouldn't be allowed to lay hands on anyone. And that is what people are voting for in the US.

@RPB Scotland must solve its problems with Brexit.

@Asimov Interesting question, but I assume a colony in a free market state would be doing so with the kind of skills that will benefit from such a trading bloc.

If Britain were to agree to a trading bloc with the US, that would mean closer ties between EU and the US. The EU would then have to apply trade sanctions against US companies in other places, unless the EU was able to create a sort of "security shield".That sort of thing would make life difficult for the UK, since it would be able to sell its exports to any EU nation (the US, in this case), but unable to sell to the other countries.

Also, if the EU wanted to negotiate with the US on the TPP agreement, they'd do so in person, and one should consider the US as a friend. If Trump didn't want to negotiate with them in person, they'd consider the US as an enemy.

Well, not exactly. The Napoleonic Code wasn't about going to a court. Its all about going to the border. To take a company over the border (or vice versa) without permit and paying is now considered robbery. Of course in the US they don't need to go to a court for that.

WTF?

Firstly, the Napoleonic Code doesn't work on European soil. The world was a more chaotic place before the Code of Laws, with there being a lack of rules and order. Europe wasn't France's France, it was the chaotic Middle East.

But besides this, if you've any knowledge of history you'd know that even back in Napoleonic times, there were wars fought in the heart of Europe. I know of people who've seen some of them up close, and that includes the War of Liberation.

And the idealism of the Code of Laws is that to lay hands on or lay hands off a company, you can't make any charges for that because you have to look at it in a fair way. This in a way makes trading by the EU totally fair as if there were charges on trade, then the US would have an advantage.

And yes, the EU would have more than likely established rules on individualism and what not, if Trump doesn't want to talk to them in person, the EU may consider the US an enemy.

But isn't trade an enemy now because we don't want to trade with each other? What's the problem? The US is probably the richest and safest country in the world. Why don't you want to talk to them, the EU?
