Our Landscape Institute accredited postgraduate programmes prepare students for an exciting career in landscape architecture, garden design and other related urban design disciplines. Since leaving Writtle, I have worked for a large horticultural magazine and website, a multi-disciplinary landscape practice, won an RHS Gold Medal and am now a writer for an international publishing company.

The projects I work on are not easy, but they are enjoyable! I am thankful to my tutors for their enthusiasm and expertise, motivating and encouraging throughout my studies.The skills I learned at Writtle help me every day in my work which varies from designing new features, working on restoration plans, or daily management with groups of volunteers.

The Landscape Architecture course at Writtle demanded so much from me and it was a real challenge but it was very rewarding and has given me the confidence that I have the right skills to move forward in my career. Our students are at the forefront of making better places and stronger, more resilient landscapes in a time of climate change. Landscape architecture and garden design, sometimes considered to be just an aesthetic pastime, is so much more than this, and students today are preparing to enter a profession to make positive changes to the world.

Students have had the unique opportunity to hear talks from experts and participate in 'live' projects across the industry. Students will benefit from our dedicated design studio on our main campus, develop advanced plant knowledge by assessing our onsite plant collection and be part of a close knit community.
